The Job in a Nutshell:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and engineering to oversee hardware projects. The ideal candidate will manage the development and production of accessories related to our flagship product. This role is pivotal in transitioning products from the testing and iteration phase to commercialization and launch.
What You’ll Do:
1. Project Management and Leadership: Lead hardware development projects from conception to launch. Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
2. Manufacturing and Engineering Expertise: Utilize your manufacturing and engineering skills to oversee the production process, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and functionality.
3. Supplier and Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external suppliers, vendors, and consultants. Negotiate contracts and oversee the quality of work provided.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with various internal departments, including design, marketing, sales, and customer service teams, to ensure a cohesive and efficient project flow.
5. Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality standards, testing procedures, and product iteration processes. Ensure that the final product meets or exceeds customer expectations.
6. Budget and Schedule Management: Monitor project budgets and timelines, adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines and financial goals.
7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
8. Product Launch: Coordinate with the marketing and sales teams for the successful launch of new products in our webstore, ensuring all launch activities are executed flawlessly.
Ideally You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in project management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of the hardware development lifecycle, including design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with an ability to motivate teams and manage stakeholders.
- Experience in managing external suppliers and vendors.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
